Flower Warning!

I'm currently in Belgium, visiting Karl. I met a friend from CS today and we went to the botanical garden in Leuven and I took a bunch of pictures of the flowers. The sun was shining and the sky was so blue and amazing! I really like these shots. Sorry for the really long post... It was hard to pick out my favorites.

Weekly Challenge: Abandoned

This week's challenge was: abandoned. I immediately thought of when we went mine hunting in Angola. The mines are left behind from the civil war in Angola that ended only ten years ago. We went to watch what a Norwegian organisation was doing there to remove the mines so that it does not harm the Angolan people living nearby. The first picture is for the challenge, a mine abandoned by the army, the rest are just bonuses! :-)

We also got to see another project where they are teaching rats to smell where there is TNT. The rats are so light that they can't trigger the mines to explode. When the rat finds a mine, it scratches the ground where the mine is located, as shown in the third picture below.

The "body guard" ;)

Photos that I am in are of course, not taken by me.

Missing Fall

I miss the colors of fall!! It's probably my favorite season of all! I just found these pictures from fall 2013. Some are from Oslo, while others are from when I visited my grandmother outside Molde.

Threes: Shipwreck Beach

I've decided to start participating in a photo challenge. There are a lot on the internet, and I've found one I think I can really like! The Daily Press has a weekly Photo Challenge that I shall now try to participate in. I'm hoping it'll be a good what to learn new things and discover more! This challenge is about threes. Basically three pictures that tell a story; different perspectives.

The following photos were taken outside Luanda, Angola. It's called Shipwreck Beach, and there are (you guessed it!) wrecked ships! They are really rustly and old, I loved going here while I lived in Angola! Enjoy :)
